On October 31, Indian students celebrated the traditional Diwali – Festival of Lights. The holiday symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and the victory of good over evil.

Co-authors of the book are: Karine Sargsyan, YSMU Honorary Professor, WHO expert; Zisis Kozlakidis, Head of the Laboratory Services and Biobanking at IARC/WHO; and YSMU Rector, Professor Armen Muradyan.
On October 18, the first-ever MedDiscussions took place, focusing on breast cancer in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event started with three case reports: a surgical demonstration and explanation, complex diagnostic cases, and rare medical cases.

Future endocrinologist Hivi Kumanayake has come to Armenia from Sri Lanka. 3rd year student of the Faculty of General Medicine chose to come to Armenia as he heard YSMU had a really good education system which was affordable as well. According to him, YSMU has an amazing staff.
