At the Annual Congress of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI Congress 2026), held in Istanbul on June 12–15, Armenia and Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi were represented by Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology, PhD Zaruhi G. Kalikyan.
18/06/2026Yerevan State Medical University Department of Hygiene and Ecology Associate Professor Armen Mkrtchyan visited the University of Málaga within the framework of the Erasmus TransFront EU program for teaching staff, held on May 11–15, 2026, with the purpose of delivering lectures at the Departments of Pharmacy and Pediatrics.
The working week at YSMU concluded with the final 18th “Training of Trainers” (ToTs) session of the “HENAR” Foundation’s Health Care Specialists Education Program, which was followed by the graduation ceremony for the first-year participants.
On May 11, we had the honor of welcoming Prof. Jacek Jaworski from the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (Poland), who is also a member of the COBRAIN Advisory Board.
With the efforts of the Student Parliament’s Educational and Methodological Committee and after extensive preparatory work, the “Formula for an Effective Lecturer” student conference was held at the Medical University.
The future doctors, accompanied by YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan and Professors of the University, visited the memorial complex dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
On April 21, the “Heratsi” University Hospital brought together Armenian and French specialists within the framework of the 10th French-Armenian ENMG Seminar-Workshop.
“Remove clothing from the victim’s chest”: this is one of several defibrillator instructions in Armenian. First aid courses, BLS (Basic Life Support), are continuing through the joint efforts of Yerevan State Medical University, specifically the Department of Emergency Care and Disaster Medicine, and the “Henar” Foundation, which launched the Armenian-language defibrillator.
Karine Sargsyan, Honorary Professor of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, Director of Operations of the Institute of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), and Scientific Director of Oncobiobanking at Cedars-Sinai Medical University in California, USA; Founding Director of the Biobank at the University of Graz in Austria; spoke at the session of the UN Economic and Social Council.
