ECCES 2026 International Conference on Medical Education Brings Together Leading Experts in Tbilisi Held on October 12–13 in Tbilisi under the theme “Advancing Medical Education: Internationalization, Innovation, and Academic Excellence,” the ECCES 2026 International Conference on Medical Education brings together leading experts from various countries.
The third module of the training program “Digital empowerment at the frontlines: SORT IT (Structured Operational Research and Training Initiative) for advancing Universal Health Coverage through implementation research in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (2026)” dedicated to Scientific Manuscript Writing started at Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, under the auspices of the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR). The module will last for one week—from October 7 to 14.
A working meeting was held between Professor Armen Muradyan, President of the Armenian Medical World Congress 2027 and Rector of Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU); Professor Ara Babloyan, Honorary President of the Congress; and Zhenya Ghazaryan, Program Manager at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA).
This year, Armenia hosted the Pan-European scientific and educational initiative “European Researchers’ Night Armenia” (ERNA), which aimed to promote the popularization of science, stimulate public interest in scientific matters, and foster direct engagement between researchers and the general public.
The Medical University, represented by YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan, hosted a delegation led by Irena Hrstić, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Croatia.
The 4th Yerevan International Cardiovascular Symposium was held at Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, bringing together leading cardiologists and cardiovascular specialists from Armenia and abroad. A joint Armenian-German meeting is also being held as part of the symposium, aimed at expanding international professional cooperation and the exchange of experience.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi and the leading pediatric hospital in Los Angeles, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA).
