World Pharmacists’ Day is celebrated on September 25. The purpose of World Pharmacists’ Day is to encourage activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world. According to the decision of the International Pharmaceutical Federation, the theme of this year's campaign is: “Pharmacy: Always trusted for your health“.
There are more than 4 million pharmacists worldwide. For many years, pharmacists have been ranked among the top five most trusted professionals. The oldest pharmaceutical records have been found in 2900 B.C. in Egypt, and the father of pharmacy is considered to be the Greek physician Galen of Pergamon, most of whose research heritage has been preserved thanks to Arabic, Hebrew, Latin and ancient Armenian translations.
