The university developed and implemented the course to align with the current demands of medical science since 2019. These demands emphasize the importance for future doctors. The objective of this module is to cultivate students’ capacity to comprehend medical articles and guidelines, develop research competencies, and proficiently manage their time. Additionally, the module aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to apply critical thinking to health-related issues. Students will learn and understand the importance of biomedical research, the mechanisms of literature search, academic ethics, critical thinking, the structure of medical articles, research design.
On completion of the module learners will be able to:
- Critically evaluate scientific medical literature,
- Differentiate academic sources from non-academic ones,
- Compare the results of similar articles to identify the final outcome and their limitations,
- Formulate scientific questions & hypotheses for research investigations,
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in presenting research findings.

Classes are held at Cobrain. In comparison with previous academic years, the program has changed and it does not include report writing. The assessment is based on cumulative grading including tests.
