At a seminar on “Medical Informatics” organized by the American-Austrian Foundation in Salzburg on 27.10.-02.11 medical informaticians from the United States presented a new specialty – Medical Informatics to 31 different background doctors from 21 countries. During the seminar, doctors shared their path in the US, the pros and cons of electronic health record system, and the role of new specialists – medical informaticians in the hospital.
Through various workshops, physicians gained skills to reduce medical errors and improve quality.
The only representative of Armenia at the seminar was YSMU Infectious diseases department’s Professor Assistant Anna Mkhoyan, MD, MPH, PhD.
