On October 22-24, 2019, MINERVA project partner Universities’ study visit took place in Liege, Belgium, where YSMU representatives were participating as well. On the first day of the visit, a Consortium Meeting was held to discuss upcoming activities, ways and timelines for their implementation.
The second day of the project started with an “Introduction to Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)” report by Isabelle Haleux, R&D Executive Director of the Administration of Research and Development at the University of Liege, human resources management EU expert.
With a following report the representative of the program coordinating institution, the Academy of Economic Sciences of Moldova, presented the best practice of the Academy's sequence of steps towards earning HR Excellence in Research award.
The advantages of research institutions obtaining HR Excellence in Research” award were outlined in terms of both attractiveness for EU funding and potential for career development of foreign researchers.
The reports were sometimes followed by individual teamwork activities aimed at improving critical thinking of project participants, supporting them with the tips of how to come up with individual initiatives and how to formulate duties in the workplace.
The third day of the project was dedicated to the roadmap and timetable for receiving “HR Excellence in Research” award in which the institution can succeed in case it follows the necessary steps.
At the end of the visit upcoming activities were discussed and 2 main phases of the assignments of partner universities from Armenia were highlighted:
