Work experience

From 1983 to 1991, she worked in the city polyclinic number 1 as a district therapist and then from 1991 to 1995 as an infectious disease specialist.

From 1995 to 1996, she worked at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) as а senior laboratory assistant; from 1996 to 2004 as an assistant professor and from 2004 to 2010 as an associate professor.

In 2000, defended her thesis “The clinical significance of lipoperoxidation and phospholipid spectrum of erythrocyte membranes in acute viral hepatitis A and B” for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

From 1998 to 2002, she took part in the clinical trials of the drug “Armenicum”.

From 2004 to 2009, she was a full-time doctoral student at the Moscow Medical Academy after Sechenov.

In 2009, in Moscow, she defended her doctoral thesis “The clinical and pathogenetic importance of bacterial toxins in the development of the features of the course of acute intestinal infections”.

From 2009 to 2010, she continued working at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the YSMU as an associate professor, from 2010 to 2011 as the Head of the Department, and from 2011 to the present as a supervisor of the educational unit and a manager of educational programs and tests.

She is scientific head of one candidate of medical sciences, two PhD schollars and number of clinical residents.

Since 1995 she has been undergoing regular trainings, with the latest in pedagogy, psychology, and informatics in December 2013.

Since 2008 she has been a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

Since 2009 she has been a member of the Armenian Association of Hepatology.

Since 2010 she has been a member of the National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases of the Russian Federation.

Since 2010 she has been a member of the Scientific Expert Panel.

Since 2010 she has been a member of the Clinical Residents’ Certification Committee.

Since 2010 she served as a member of the Forensic Medical Committee.

Since 2012 she has been a member of the Educational Methodical Commission of the YSMU.

She has authored 140 articles (104 of which have been published abroad) and two manuals; she has co-authored three educational and methodical manuals, one methodical and one educational manual.
