During the 2022-2023 academic year, the Centennial Medical University hosted a number of famous doctors-scientists from different corners of the world. Their contribution was significant in terms of internationalization and professional improvement of the university.<\/p>\n

Some of them are Honorary Doctors of YSMU, people who have contributed to the development of health care, medical science, and are dedicated to the Medical University both in their attitude and activity.<\/p>\n

Let's recall them: <\/p>\n

Lawrence Faulkner<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lawrence Faulkner, YSMU Honorary Doctor, authoritative pediatric hematologist-oncologist, bone marrow transplant specialist; was the guest of YSMU within the framework of SIOP ASIA 15th Congress. The main point of his lecture was trying to convince middle-income countries that procedures that were apparently complicated like bone marrow transplantation were actually a mixture of different procedures some of which were not that complicated, and really could be simplified without compromising outcome.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the international conference entitled “Cancer Research and Current Molecular Testing in Application”, Arsen Osipov, a leading oncologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, USA; spoke about targeted therapy and related tests, “Democratization of precision medicine”, as well as the need for immunotherapy in cancer high level, particularly presenting pancreatic cancer and effective ways of its diagnosis.<\/p>\n
