Arafath Hussain Ibrahim, Elakkiya Priya Anandan and Vijayaraja Shanmugam, graduates of the Faculty of General Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University; are close friends. They have been pillars of strength for each other, supporting themselves through the highs and lows of their studies during these 6 years. They have celebrated achievements of each other, big and small, and offered words of encouragement when they faced setbacks.<\/p>\n

Yerevan State Medical University holds a special place in my heart. It has been home for several years\u201d, he emphasizes. First and foremost, Arafath continues, being a medical student is a privilege and a tremendous responsibility. \u201cWe are entrusted with the lives and well-being of individuals who come to us seeking care and healing. Each day, we are immersed in a world of knowledge, where science, compassion, and human connection intertwine. We witness the triumphs and challenges of the human body, and we learn to navigate the complexities of the human condition. Throughout our medical education, we are not merely studying textbooks or memorizing facts. We are developing a deep understanding of the human body, honing our clinical skills, and cultivating our ability to empathize and connect with patients. Our YSMU teachers helped us and were so much supportive throughout our classes, we learned to communicate effectively, to listen attentively, and to offer comfort and support during times of vulnerability. It is through these interactions that we truly grasp the privilege of being entrusted with the care of another human being\u201d, he tells.<\/p>\n Speaking about his future plans, Arafath says that the first thing is the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). \u201cThe FMGE examination is a crucial milestone in our journey as international medical graduates. The significance of this examination in our pursuit of becoming licensed medical professionals in our home country INDIA is crucial. After that we have 12 months of internship. I share my ambition to become a General Surgeon. The path I have chosen is not an easy one, but it is a calling that resonates deep within me – a calling to make a tangible difference in the lives of patients and contribute to the field of medicine in a meaningful way. We are the future of medicine, and with that comes a tremendous responsibility to advance the field. It is our duty to question the status quo, to seek innovative solutions, and to contribute to medical research and advancements. Whether it be through conducting clinical trials, participating in cutting-edge research, or challenging existing paradigms, we have the potential to shape the future of healthcare\u201d, he assures.<\/p>\n Elakkiya Priya Anandan<\/em><\/strong> wishes to become Obstetrician and gynecologist. \u201cI am delighted to be studying at my first university choice, Yerevan State Medical University.<\/p>\n In regards to academic, it was quite tough at first, but then slowly I started working on my level best. All those years I developed and improved on many vital skills, such as practical communication, and the value of these skills for my future career. I gained many skills to help me as a self-dependent learner. The facilities the University offers are excellent, and I believe these are helping to make my education the best\u201d, she notes, adding that the facilities available have given her a clear picture of practical skills.<\/p>\n Vijayaraja Shanmugam<\/em><\/strong> wishes to become Orthopaedic Surgeon. \u201cAs we graduate and transition into the role of physicians, we must remain lifelong learners.
