On 13th October, the “Introduction to Neuroanatomy” crash-seminar was organized by “Dandy” Neurosurgical Society Armenia at the Blue Hall of Yerevan State Medical University. The event kick-started with a motivational speech given by the Scientific Supervisor of Dandy Armenia and Vice Rector for Science Konstantin Yenkoyan. He showed his gratitude to the core team members of “Dandy” Armenia for organizing such an event and was delighted to have such a major response from the participants even after university working hours.<\/p>\n
A case presentation from Dr. Lernik Grigoryan, neurosurgeon at “Astghik” Medical Centre and “Heratsi” Hospital Complex, was followed. The speaker engrossed the students with his experience of dealing with patients suffering from ischemic stroke. Dr. Luisa Poghosyan, radiologist from “Heratsi” Hospital Complex, delivered an engrossing seminar on radiological findings in ischemic stroke and neuroanatomy which made the students awe in interest. These didactic seminars were followed by the address of the president of “Dandy” Neurosurgical Society Armenia, Sanobar Shariff, who took the dais and expressed a report on the various seminars, journal club, researches and international affiliations “Dandy” Armenia had in the previous academic year, and announced the President for the academic year 2022-2023 as Burhan Kantawala.<\/p>\n
For the students and residents participating at the event an educational video was shown using the platform Osmosis, after which an exciting quiz competition was conducted. The speakers and the winners of the quiz competition received certificates of appreciation and excellence respectively.<\/p>\n
The event concluded by a vote of thanks delivered by the newly elected President and chairman, Burhan Ilyas Kantawala who emphasized on not losing the ability to question things as a researcher and shared the agenda for the academic year 2022-23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
