24-year-old Divya Tyagi is a graduate of the Faculty of General Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi. The future Indian surgeon is convinced that the doctor is the guarantor of patients’ health.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the beginning I am very much interested to know about human body and wanted to save lives of others by becoming a doctor. Medicine is always fascinating to me. I love to know more and more about medicine so that I can cure people and make them happy that makes me feel happy too. This gave me incredible opportunity to help others. Yes, this was my dream and passion too, and I don\u2019t want to change anything\u201d, Divya says, adding that it is a beautiful thing when a career and passion comes together.<\/p>\n
Referring to FMGE exam, the future doctor notes that it is a Foreign Medical Graduate Examination conducted by National Board of Examinations in India. According to her, this is a Screening Test which is mandatory for an Indian citizen who has a medical degree from a college outside India to practice medicine in India.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs I completed my medical degree in July 2020, and my FMGE exam was on 31st august, so I had only one month for preparation. In this month I just did revision, nothing new, as \u2018Revision is a key to success\u2019. \u201cYSMU plays a huge role because their education gave me clear concepts and high yield knowledge in the academic years so that my last month revision was enough to clear this exam\u201d, Divya tells.<\/p>\n
The Indian graduate confesses that he loves Armenia and the Armenian people. \u201cArmenia is like my second home where I spent precious six years of my life. It feels so good when I saw good Indian-Armenian relationships\u201d, she says.<\/p>\n
In medical specialization, Divya will choose cardio surgery or neurosurgery.<\/p>\n
If possible, the future Indian doctor would like to stay and work in Armenia.<\/p>\n
From her point of view, being a good listener is critical to being a good doctor. \u201cA good doctor should be willing to work to figure out what is going on and will be a strong advocate for their patients. Physicians should be personable, great listeners and empathetic to the concerns of their patients. They should answer questions using language that is clear, without using too much medical terminology. They should be honest but also offer hope even when a situation is difficult\u201d, Divya emphasizes.<\/p>\n
To future doctors she advices to keep doing revision daily whatever they studied that day. \u201cIn this way, I am sure you will achieve a great success\u201d, she concludes.<\/p>\n
