Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi hosted the delegation of the Ursulinenreal School of K\u00f6ln, Germany (Erzbisch\u00f6fliche Ursulinen Realschule K\u00f6ln).<\/p>\n
Welcoming the guests, Yervand Sahakyan, Vice-Rector for international activities and external relations, noted that the Medical University had a history of effective cooperation with German partners since 2015. “The cooperation started with the University of Munster, and continued with the Universities of Hannover and Berlin. We attach great importance to cooperation between schools,” he emphasized, adding that YSMU was the only state medical university in Armenia.<\/p>\n
The Vice-Rector presented the history of the University, informing that it was founded in 1920. \u201cTeaching at our University is trilingual: Armenian, Russian and English. Foreign students from 33 countries of the world study here. Currently, more than 2,000 international students are studying at the University, and they are quite successful in finding jobs in their home countries. This year, we are undergoing international program accreditation, which will certainly create new opportunities for the University’s international cooperation,” Yervand Sahakyan said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the Medical University cooperates with medical educational institutions of many European and Asian countries.<\/p>\n
