The Solemn Meeting of the Scientific Council-Graduation Party of the Graduates of 2023-2024 Academic Year was Held on July 8, at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.<\/p>\n
This day is of utmost importance for Medical University. 622 graduates of Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi, 250 of whom are international students, comprise the rich student life of another generation of future doctors, interesting university years, the final result of which should be extremely responsible professional work.<\/p>\n
“Respectful members of the Academic Council, dear graduates, dear musicians, guests, parents, this is a long-awaited and important day for us. A solemn meeting of the Academic Council has been organized today so that we can once again confirm that white clothes are not just clothes, but a commitment. I believe that the work we have done in six years – the rigorous exams, the level of skills that you are endowed with ,allows us to say that those people who are ready to join the ranks of the White Army today are worthy of this invincible title.”,- announcing the start of the meeting, YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan noted.<\/p>\n
People who have been educated at the medical university are entrusted with a difficult, but glorious and important mission-to cure, return to a full life, save. The number of people who have made an important contribution to Armenian medicine is great, the names are great and sonorous. The admission of YSMU graduates to medicine was welcomed by the lecturer of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, with many years of experience in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care in the republic, an experienced doctor Anatoly Gnuni, thanking for the opportunity to make a congratulatory speech.<\/p>\n
“Dear graduates, I congratulate you on successfully passing the state exams and participating in this event. You will soon give your oaths and join the ranks of doctors. Sleepless nights, the work of the teaching staff, who passed their knowledge and skills. When entering the world of doctors, remember that a doctor is not a profession, but a vocation. Your daily work is a style that will accompany you throughout your life. Along with high knowledge and professional abilities, you must have high human qualities. You\u2019ll face numerous obstacles and challenges. Do not back down, fight and overcome,” Anatoly Gnuni said, calling on to unconditionally fight for human health and life, continue education and fight ignorance and indifference, and not forget the teachers who instilled the spirit of the doctor, as well as the alma mater, inside which knowledge and abilities were embodied.<\/p>\n
During the years of study, the deans were happy and proud of the students\u2019 successes and achievements. This year’s event was also distinguished by the format of the event, not on the stage, but through videos, the deans had the opportunity to greet graduates with interesting memories, stories about their studies, teachers, and each other. The evening also provided the audience with the opportunity to enjoy high-quality music.<\/p>\n
“Dear colleagues, we are proud to be one of you, it is a great honor for me that I took on the responsibility to lead Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi in these difficult times, to work with famous professors, my teachers, to work side by side with colleagues who were able to overcome all difficulties in this historical era, keeping the honor of the doctor high. I am proud to be standing here with you, because over all these years, together with us, shoulder to shoulder, you have overcome the epidemic and taken your special place in this fight\u201d,- the Rector emphasized in his closing speech, congratulating everyone and stressing that the mission of the university is to raise even better specialists.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday we are witnessing how the university realizes its mission. I wish you to be inspired enough to be able to justify, save enough not to wait for words of gratitude, take responsibility as much as you can realize,”\u00a0 YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan concluded.<\/p>\n
\u00a0A recent graduate, during his years of study, voluntarily or involuntarily participated in the work aimed at combating the coronavirus pandemic, which was followed by the greatest difficulty that befell our country- the war of 2020. In peacetime or wartime, it should be remembered that wearing a white uniform is not only a job, but also a high vocation, a selfless mission.<\/p>\n
Dear graduates, you are graduating from an educational institution that occupies a special place in the international arena, where 2,100 international students from 34 countries receive medical education.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The evening ended with the performance of the song “For you, Armenia” by world-famous Armenian artist, Charles Aznaur, with participation by those present in the hall, initially having the lyrics. It is symbolic that the famous musician sent his last video message to the graduates of YSMU many years ago. The song, the life path and the example of the great Armenian symbolize the ideology of being useful to people, peoples, and the country, which is in tune with the main idea of the graduation event of the medical university.<\/p>\n
