Specialists from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard Medical School and the Department of Cardiology of Yerevan State Medical University, with the initiative and support of the Armenian Relief Fund, held the 2nd Armenian Critical Care Ultrasound Course.<\/p>\n
The two-day course, which took place on March 9-10, was designed for emergency medicine specialists, cardiologists, and resuscitators, and included distance preparatory (6 months) and on-site (two days) intensive training, which was attended by 30 specialists from the capital, including university hospitals, and medical institutions in the regions of Armenia.<\/p>\n
All participants go through the modules, and only selected participants who passed the tests in full were granted the right to participate in the current course.<\/p>\n
According to Professor Hamayak Sisakyan, Head of the Department of Cardiology, Head of the Clinic of General and Invasive Cardiology and Internal Diseases at “Heratsi” University Hospital, the intensive course emphasizes the importance of ultrasound examination for early diagnosis. The idea, through his words, is to spread these methods among other doctors, in addition to cardiologists and radiologists.<\/p>\n
Professors from the Harvard Medical School emphasized that the goal of the two-day workshop is to continue it under the guidance of local professionals, as they possess the necessary knowledge and skills.<\/p>\n
