YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan and Director of the “Home for Soldier” rehabilitation center, Haykuhi Minasyan, today welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia, H.E. Nilakshi Saha Sinha, along with Colonel Manish Tolani, Defence Attach\u00e9 of India in Armenia. Introducing the center, the Rector of Yerevan State Medical University noted that the facility is located in a historic building with a legacy of more than 120 years in the healthcare field. The “Home for Soldier” serves not only as a medical rehabilitation center but also as a vital space for the social reintegration of soldiers. According to Armen Muradyan, the key to the center\u2019s success lies in the people who are truly inspired by its mission.<\/p>\n
Established through the efforts of the Armenian people and the support of benefactors, the center represents values that go beyond humanitarianism and patriotism\u2014values that not every nation is fortunate enough to transform into such a meaningful institution. Ambassador Sinha expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to visit the center and to learn more about its impactful work, emphasizing that it was a great honor to be present.<\/p>\n
During the tour, Director Haykuhi Minasyan introduced the guests to the various halls of the center and presented the ongoing rehabilitation, social, and cultural programs. She mentioned that more than 1,500 beneficiaries have already been supported through these initiatives.<\/p>\n
As a gesture of friendship, the Ambassador presented a gift to the center\u2014a selection of books that will enrich the library and offer patients meaningful reading material, including literature about India.
