HISTOVISION 2025 was successfully conducted on 27th November 2025 with remarkable enthusiasm and active participation from students across multiple countries. The event was organised by the Department of Histology and the Career Centre of Yerevan State Medical University, and witnessed excellent engagement throughout, including an energetic and highly interactive audience round.<\/p>\n
Prof. Karmen Sahakyan, the Head of the Department of Histology, the goal of the event was to contribute to the consolidation of knowledge and development of clinical thinking among 1st-3rd year students, and already senior year students were able to combine theoretical subjects with clinical subjects, quickly orient themselves in solving situational problems. “I think that in the future the competition will also serve as a basis for properly organizing the teamwork of future doctors,” she added.<\/p>\n
Rahul Sethi, the Head of International Students Affairs; Visiting Lecturer of the Department of Histology; emphasized that he had the opportunity to work with students from different countries and cultural backgrounds. “And I am amazed by the enthusiasm that they have for mastering knowledge, understanding complex concepts and applying them in the field of medicine, and this quiz will continue to be a platform for international students to showcase and share their knowledge and talent,” he assured.<\/p>\n
Distinguished guests in attendance included the Vice Rectors, Dr. Yervand Sahakyan, Dr. Larissa Avetisyan, Dr. Khachatur Margaryan, Michell Kocharyan, President of the Student Parliament; Satenik Torosyan, the Acting Head of the Career Development Centre; and esteemed teachers and professors from the Histology Department. We also had an insightful interaction with Anahit Aznauryan, the Vice-Head of the International Student Academic Department and Associate Professor from the Department of Histology.<\/p>\n
Students from various nationalities\u2014Jordanian, Sri Lankan, Indian, and Armenian – actively participated, making the event vibrant, diverse, and culturally rich.<\/p>\n
Five teams competed in the quiz competition: Histo Hunters, The Histocrats, Tissue Titans, Cell-ebrities, and Cell Sorcerers.<\/p>\n
At the conclusion of the event, Histo Hunters emerged as the champions, securing the first position, followed by Cell-ebrities as the runner-up. First Prize \u2013 Histo Hunters
