We are proud to present the second edition of “Synthesis of Best-Seller Drugs,” published by Elsevier, one of the world’s largest scientific publishers.<\/p>\n
“The second edition, prepared at the initiative of Elsevier, is a significantly updated, and expanded version of the first edition, published in 2016, which was authored by my brother, Ruben Vardanyan, a Professor at the University of Arizona (USA), and an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. The book is dedicated to one of the most dynamically developing areas of modern biomedical science\u2014the synthesis of drugs and the study of their molecular-biochemical mechanisms,” Gayane Vardanyan, a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Yerevan State Medical University and Doctor of Biological Sciences notes.<\/p>\n
A new, important component has been introduced\u2014a description of the molecular-biochemical mechanisms of the drugs.<\/p>\n
The publication has been expanded with two new chapters devoted to current areas of modern pharmacotherapy: “Obesity Treatment Drugs” and “Erectile Dysfunction Treatment Drugs,” reflecting both the needs of the pharmaceutical market and changing clinical priorities. Furthermore, the book has been significantly updated to include scientific data published since the first edition (2015-2024).<\/p>\n
The book covers main pharmacological classes and is organized by primary therapeutic areas. The material is presented in 39 chapters, which cover over 1,500 pages.<\/p>\n
This publication is intended for a wide audience: students, researchers studying the fundamentals of drug synthesis and the molecular mechanisms, and practicing physicians seeking to integrate clinical practice with basic science.<\/p>\n
