Norbert Graf is Professor emeritus for Pediatrics at Saarland University and was Dean for study affairs up to April 2022.
He is the past chairman of the Renal Tumor Study Group of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP), the principal investigator of the current UMBRELLA protocol for children with kidney tumors, an associated international member of the Children’s Oncology Group in North America and was one of the Directors of the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) Institute.
Professor Graf has more than 40 years of experience in running clinical trials.
He is a coordinator of many research projects pathing the way to personalized medicine. In this endeavor he works closely together with basic scientists, informaticians, modelers, ethicists, and lawyers.
His main interest are kidney tumors in childhood to model their response to treatment using deep learning and AI technologies. Norbert Graf is author and co-author of more than 450 scientific publications.
