Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi won the “Armenian Research Infrastructure on Cancer Research” – ARICE program.
It aims to increase the capabilities of research infrastructure in Armenia in the field of cancer research by developing modern biobank data and research. This goal can be achieved as a result of close cooperation with the leading universities in the field.
YSMU, as a coordinator, will implement the program with the participation of the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization in partnership with the Medical University of Graz and Charles University, spreading its capabilities at institutional, national and regional levels.
Thanks to the effective implementation of the ARICE program, the medical university will become the leader in the field of cancer genetic research in Armenia.
