Dear future doctors, University students and colleagues, I congratulate you on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas.
Let the coming year be a year of achievements, overcoming difficulties, peace.
The global coronavirus pandemic was a new challenge for health, education and other areas. The efforts of the representatives of the white army fighting against it are invaluable. As a result of joint work we managed to overcome the difficulties of the educational process. The medical university operates uninterruptedly; each of us has a significant contribution to the development of the educational process through his / her daily work.
2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the medical university. This year was a jubilee for a century-old university, but, unfortunately, the planned events were replaced by many other activities that require an agenda and operative organization. It is important that every University student feels the enormous responsibility that implies being a student and a graduate of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi. The long-awaited anniversary of the University students was overshadowed by the Azerbaijani-Turkish war provoked on September 27 against Artsakh. It took away the best from us: about thirty YSMU students and graduates gave their life in the battles for the defense of Homeland. Their memory is eternal…
During the epidemic, during the war, many future doctors, military doctors, students performed their human and humanitarian duties, performed feats and applied the acquired knowledge for the salvation of human lives.
Education and science are the guarantee of our future. We must make every effort to complete the work unfinished by our fallen colleagues and compatriots. Our work continues to focus on the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded soldiers. This is the least we can do. Our daily success in this matter is visible.
Dear future physicians, students, thank you for sparing no effort to play your part in the distance learning process. I am sure that soon you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained online in a practical platform, serving it to the strengthening of our country and state. May you succeed in preserving and spreading the best traditions of the 100-year-old medical forge.
I wish you all endurance, strength, peaceful days. We will meet in 2021 with new expectations and new programs.
