Saro Armenian, Visiting Professor in the Departments of Oncology and Public Health at Yerevan State Medical University

Since December 31, 2017 Saro Armenian, Director of the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Clinic and Division of Outcomes Research and Associate Professor at the Departments of Pediatrics and Population Sciences at City of Hope, has become Visiting Professor in the Departments of Oncology and Public Health at Yerevan State Medical University.

Saro Armenian is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. He received his medical education at the University of Chicago, then at the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pomona, and at the Department of Preventive Medicine, University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He did his residency at the Department of Pediatrics, Children's Hospital Los Angeles University of Southern California, Los Angeles and Fellowship at the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Children's Hospital Los Angeles University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

He has been the recipient of several awards including the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation HistoGenetics New Investigator Award, Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology Career Development Award, the Ruby N. Roney Endowment at City of Hope, and is a past-fellow of the American Society of Hematology Clinical Training Institute.

The Professor is a member of many professional societies and unions participated in numerous international conferences and his articles were published in the world’s most famous journals.
