The first aid BLS (Basic Life Support) courses conducted by certified mentors jointly with the American “Code3 Life” organization, in particular the Department of Emergency and Disaster Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University, as well as the “Henar” Foundation, are successfully continuing at the “Mikayelyan” University Hospital.
This time, the course was organized for representatives of the medical staff of the “Heratsi” University Hospital.
It should be noted that according to statistics, about 5000 people die from cardiac arrest in Armenia every year. Within just a few minutes of stopping healthy breathing, brain function is disrupted. The skill of quick and effective first aid, the restoration of cardiac function, saves lives. Of these 5000, only about 5% are saved, which is due to the insufficient awareness and preparation of the population regarding the basics of life support and correct actions.
The courses are conducted by trained and certified specialists.
In fact, a new educational program is being introduced at the Medical University – a course in accordance with international standards, which is intended for all those who wish.
