October 8 is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day

October 8 is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD). It is an annual unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world. 

Currently, there are 30 licensed palliative care medical institutions in Armenia, where palliative care specialists (doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers) provide the necessary services to patients.

The WHPCD theme for 2022 is: “Healing Hearts and Communities”.
