The General and Invasive Cardiology Clinic of University Hospital N1 has received the ICARe-HF Accreditation as specialized center by the European Society of Cardiology.

The European Society of Cardiology recently conducted a project to assess the extent to which cardiology clinics meet international standards. The main focus of the assessment was the treatment of patients with heart failure, in particular, whether up-to-date guidelines are followed, internationally recognized treatment approaches are used, and the equipment and workload were also taken into account.

The General and Invasive Cardiology and Internal Medicine Clinic of “Heratsi” University Hospital received preliminary accreditation back in 2024, thanks to its medical approaches that meet quality standards in its work. In May of this year, the clinic received final accreditation as a facility providing high-quality treatment.

It should be noted that the clinic is the only one in Armenia that received such kind of European accreditation for the quality of treatment.

“This is an honor for us, about 100 cardiology centers have been accredited from European countries, one of which is our clinic”, – Hamayak Sisakan, Head of the General and Invasive Cardiology and Internal Medicine Clinic, Head of the Cardiology Department of YSMU; noted, thanking the university and the hospital for the technical provision of equipment, which has greatly contributed to the process of gaining international recognition.
