The delegation of Tbilisi State Medical University was invited to attend the meeting of Scientific Council of the Yerevan State Medical University. Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, was nominated for the title of YSMU Honorary Doctor.
The suggestion was approved by the members of the Nomination Committee. TSMU Rector expressed his gratitude and highlighted his proud to become an Honorary Doctor of Yerevan State Medical University. Professor Zurab Vadachkoria presented a memorable gift – a handmade image on glass of the main building of the Yerevan State Medical University by a Georgian artist.
During the visit to the YSMU, the delegation of the Tbilisi State Medical University visited the Scientific-Educational Center for Fundamental Brain Research “COBRAIN”, the examination center, the art exhibition of the students of the Faculty of Dentistry. YSMU students granted the members of the TSMU delegation their paintings.
Within the framework of the visit, the TSMU delegation also visited YSMU Clinical Skills Center and University Clinic named after Mikaelyan.
The guests met the Head of the Clinic, Heads of the Departments and were introduced to the educational process and clinical activities.
The TSMU delegation was especially impressed by the infrastructure of the “Soldier’s Home” Rehabilitation Center. The center is equipped with modern medical equipment, library, lounges and dining room.
The environment contributes to the rapid socialization and rehabilitation process of disabled persons.
