To become a finest doctor is the ambition of Yerevan State Medical University alumna Shankari Anbarasan.
She got to know about YSMU through her sister who herself is an alumna. “She strongly suggested YSMU would be the best medical university to pursue my ambition, and the days spent in Armenia would be the imperishable memories”, she tells.
Regarding the student years, Shankari says that they recalled and discussed each class at the end of the day with her study partners. “Setting clear milestones according to my strengths and weaknesses was my preparation strategy”, she adds.
Shankari plans to be a successful and skillful doctor, by not only treating the illness, but also the patient. “As of now I aspire to be a neurosurgeon as I believe brain is the most complex and fascinating organ which is yet to be fully understood”, she says.
Her advice to future colleagues would be: “Don’t stop until you are proud! This journey seems long and hard, but with perseverance and dedication you can do it. Just think of what could go right and own your dreams. Marks of exams doesn’t matter, knowledge is what matters. So, keep on exploring”.
To all members of YSMU big family Shankari wishes all the best for their future endeavors.
