The students attended the event “Student Spring”, organized by the Student Parliament of YSMU, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of the student structure. With a minute of silence, those present honored the memory of fellow cadets who died in the war, today’s heroes, Heratsians.
Welcoming future doctors and teachers, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Konstantin Yenkoyan congratulated all those present on the meeting within the framework of the “Student Spring” event expected after several years of interruption and online format. He wished the students a smile and a good mood. These series of events of the student parliament of the Medical University was loved by the universalists, providing not only a joyful pastime, but also preserving and passing on to the new generation the wonderful university traditions that form a warm atmosphere.
On this day, future Armenian and foreign doctors performed musical, dance performances, recitations and humorous numbers. The main hall of the university was buzzing with applause. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the student Council, representatives of the teaching staff were also awarded.
“I have a lot of medals, but this is the most expensive for me,” said Lida Sahakyan, Head of the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Pharmacology. The head of the Department of Armenian Language and Medical Terminology Henrietta Sukiasyan, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Education Ashot Hakobyan, Associate Professor of the Department of Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery Razmik Shamoyan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Karine Baroyan were awarded the jubilee medals.
Congratulating all Heratsians, YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan stressed that after graduation, future doctors will provide a strong rear of the household, “In 40 countries we have graduates of YSMU who are the guarantors of the health of their citizens,” the head of the university said: According to him, the university should always provide cheerful and young breath.
“A doctor cannot be carefree, but I wish that during your student years, joyful days and love are always following you,” Armen Muradyan added, acknowledging his sincere love for future doctors.
