Henrikh Mkhitaryan, world-famous Armenian football player, donated his car to the Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center

The big hall of Yerevan State Medical University was overpopulated yesterday. Future doctors and football fan students greeted Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the captain of the Armenian National Football team and midfielder of English club Arsenal, who came to YSMU with a big mission. YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan noted that the meeting series with famous people was special that day as the stage hosts a new team of Homeland Defenders and their doctors.

The Rector shortly presented how Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center was created mentioning that straight one year ago, when the initiative of selling postcards created by the wounded soldiers on the Women’s Day, Henrikh Mkhitaryan was among the first ones who joined. His willingness to support the Center was proved one more time. Famous football player had a big surprise for all. He donated his car to the Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center which was given him on the occasion of being in the list of 2017 top 10 sportsmen of Armenia. Our Soldiers as well gifted him a souvenir created by them. Together with the Homeland Defenders the stage hosted Gevorg Grigoryan and Vardan Andreasyan as well, who were wounded 2 years before in Artsakh as a result of rocket launcher.

Together with their parents the guys came to Yerevan especially for meeting Henrikh Mkhitaryan; it was their dream to see him. After a short meeting at YSMU, Henrikh Mkhitaryan visited Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center with Armen Muradyan and future doctors, got acquainted with the technical opportunities and innovative equipments of the Center, spoke to the heros, signed on the balls and gave them to the Defenders.
