Let’s talk again numbers about the international activities of the 105-year-old forge of medical personnel.
28.8% of students at Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi are foreigners.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, 2057 students from 34 countries are receiving higher medical education at the university. 1106 (53.8%) of them are foreign; 951 (46.2%) are Armenian.
Compared to 1468 in the 2014-2015 academic year, the number of foreign students has increased by about 500.
International students are mainly from the following 4 countries: India (413 – 37.5%), Sri Lanka (260 – 23.5%), Jordan (235 – 21.3%), Iran (158 – 14.3%).
The education of future foreign doctors is carried out in English, Armenian, and Russian.
