If you are a young physician wishing to deepen your research skills and carry out a research project, we are pleased to inform you that Yerevan State Medical University, under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO) Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), is launching the SORT IT training program — “Digital empowerment at the frontlines: SORT IT for advancing Universal Health Coverage through implementation research in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (2026)”. Within the framework of the program, selected participants will have the opportunity to attend specialized training sessions and subsequently conduct a research project on a topic of their choice, with the support of individual mentors.
The training program is intended for health professionals (physicians, public health specialists, pharmacists, nurses) who are ready to dedicate time both for participating in in-person sessions and for carrying out the required research work.
Host institution: Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi
Application deadline: December 15, 2025
Program duration: Approximately one year, starting February 2026
Only 7 participants will be selected from Armenia.
Application Procedure:
Read the course description and download the templates for the applicant’s and supervisor’s letters via the provided Dropbox link.
Prepare your CV, research project proposal, and consent letters from both the applicant and the supervisor in advance. Applications that do not include the required documents will be rejected.
Selected participants will be announced at the end of December 2025.
