On April 21, the “Heratsi” University Hospital brought together Armenian and French specialists within the framework of the 10th French-Armenian ENMG Seminar-Workshop.
Neurologists from the two countries have been closely cooperating since 2020.
Welcoming the participants, neurologist Bella Grigoryan, MD, PhD, Electroneuromyography Physician of the Radiology Center of the Hospital, founder of the EMG laboratory; emphasized: “I think we are all looking forward to these meetings, striving to gain new knowledge and new experience”.
She informed about the upcoming conferences: in particular, on May 22, the European Academy of Neurology will hold the EAN Day in Armenia, credits will be provided, and on May 23, the meeting of the Armenian Neurological Association will take place.
Bella Grigoryan briefly presented the work carried out within the framework of the meetings held in 2021-2026, the activities of the new laboratories opened in Gyumri and Goris. This time, Armenian and French neurologists will visit Goris to discuss specific clinical cases, provide effective diagnoses and treatments.
The University specialist touched on the nuances of writing an ENMG report based on the results of the research, transferring the information received to colleagues, and making it more understandable and applicable.
International colleagues, Françoise Bouhour, Head of the ENMG laboratory at the University Hospital of Lyon; and Laurent Jomir, ENMG specialist at the same Hospital; spoke about ENMG data and parameters, as well as their correct interpretation, through interactive discussions with the participation of clinical residents of the Medical University.
During the working meeting, complex and interesting clinical cases were discussed, and the practical part of the workshop was held with the participation of French neurologists.
