New results of French-Armenian medical cooperation: “Muratsan” specialists were in Paris clinics

This spring, Yerevan State Medical University signed a framework agreement on international cooperation with leading French medical institutions: Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and Université Paris-Saclay.

Within the framework of the agreement, a week full of exchanges, mutual transfer of experience and professional development opportunities was held.

The heads of two Departments of “Muratsan” University Hospital: Yelena Aghajanova, Head of the Endocrinology Clinic and Head of the eponymous Department of YSMU; and Hrant Kalenteryan, Head of the Neonatal and Pediatric Resuscitation, Toxicology and Anesthesiology Clinic, Head of the Pediatric Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Course of YSMU; were on a working visit to the Bissétri and Antoine-Béclair University Hospitals in Paris.

Together with their French colleagues, they had a rich and productive week, participating in high-level scientific and clinical discussions, experience exchange and professional cooperation programs.

During the visit, the University specialists also participated in the Congress of the French Pediatric Association, further strengthening the cooperative ties between French and Armenian medical teams.

The participants express their gratitude to the management of the AP-HP hospital group, as well as all the specialists who contributed to the implementation of this successful cooperative initiative, which opens up promising prospects for further partnership.

This educational initiative best reflects the vitality of Armenian-French cooperation in the fields of healthcare, medical education and scientific research, for the benefit of patients and future healthcare professionals.
