The YSMU Cardiology Society held the first event of the 2026–2027 academic year – the Heart Forum titled “Why Cardiovascular Risk Can Emerge Early?”

The event, marked by great enthusiasm, brought together over 150 students, lecturers, and distinguished guests, highlighting the importance of cardiovascular awareness and prevention. A key highlight of the program was a presentation by Dr. Nelson Nersisyan, titled “Myocardial Infarction in Young Adults: Why Does It Happen So Early?” which focused on the factors contributing to heart attacks, warning signs, and preventive measures.

The event also featured various interactive initiatives, which encouraged active engagement from the participants. During the event, new members joining the YSMU Cardiology Society were warmly welcomed and congratulated. Emphasis was also placed on developing leadership skills among students to foster an active and collaborative community.

Students delivered presentations on cardiovascular risk, citing examples of well-known individuals who passed away at a young age due to heart disease, thereby highlighting the gravity of premature cardiac events.

The forum concluded with a clear message: heart health requires attention at any age, and awareness is the first crucial step toward prevention.
