Dear YSMU family members, another issue of the “Future Doctor” magazine has been published, full of interesting and informative materials presenting the events, achievements and successes of the medical university.
The creative team of the magazine summarized the events and programs held at the university, educational and scientific successes, professional exchange visits and other significant topics.
On the cover of the issue is Mariam Sargsyan, a 5th-year student of the Faculty of General Medicine, who has raised the tricolor of Armenia on a large international stage.
At the World Armwrestling Championships held in Bulgaria, Mariam became the world champion, fighting with her right hand, and won a bronze medal with her left hand. She has already managed to register a series of impressive victories, becoming the World and European Champion, World Vice-Champion and three-time Bronze medalist.
The future doctor is the first female representative of the Armenian gender to be awarded the title of world champion in arm wrestling. Her story is about strength, struggle and continuous efforts.
