The installation and testing of the Seahorse XFe96 analyzer has been carried out by the engineers from Moscow at the “COBRAIN” center of YSMU.In the near future the visit of specialists from Manchester is already planned, who will certify the testing of the device and the training of the researchers who will carry out further works. The Seahorse XFe96 analyzer was purchased as a result of a tender to provide financial support for the modernization of the infrastructure, material and technical base in the field of science, approved by the order of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of RA.
YSMU COBRAIN , as part of the information day of the ADVANCE STEM research grant program, hosted Apkar Apkarian, Director of the Apkarian Foundation, Professor of Neurology, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, director of the Center for Translational Pain Research at the Feinberg Medical School of Northwestern University.After the visit, which has become a pleasant tradition, the professor met with Fast, the Apkarian Foundation operating under his leadership and YSMU applicants and young researchers of the neuroscience research project within the framework of the ADVANCE STEM grant program at the “COBRAIN” scientific-Educational Center for Fundamental Brain Research.

“COBRAIN”-The Scientific and Educational Center for Fundamental Brain Research , which opened its doors in March, has already switched to a stormy working routine. The experiments planned in the current programs have already been transferred to the laboratories of the new center and are continuing with the involvement of new devices. In parallel, some new equipment is being used, and educational work is being carried out on their competent use.
