On March 5-6, 2019 MINERVA project was launched in the Academy of Economic Studies, Chisinau, Moldova. MINERVA is a European Union ERASMUS+ funded project which aims to strengthen research management and open science capacities of HEIs in Moldova and Armenia.
03/04/2019Horizon 2020 is the European Union’s largest research and innovation excellence project, which finances only the bests on a basis of competition. The probability of winning the program is 10-14% each year, and the total budget for the seven years (2014-2020) is 80 billion euros. The aim of Twinning program of “The Horizon 2020 Spreading Excellence & Widening Participation Action Plan” is to implement strategically important, institutional, internationally competitive research program which will meet the standards of excellence in those countries which had been applied through cooperation with the leading international scientific institutions of the EU member states.
The aim of the conference is to summarize research in the field of medical science. We foster an environment of exchange, allowing participants create a network with colleagues and fellow biomedical students. Moreover, they can become the members of some special groups and improve their personal working skills and, of course, meet with prominent.
Օn October 26, YSMU hosted an international conference titled “Let’s Help Armenia fight against Alzheimer’s Disease Problems”, aimed at helping to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease in Armenia. Today there are more than 50 million people with Alzheimer’s disease in the world. The disease emerges after the age of 60, mostly between 75 and 84 years. As Alzheimer’s disease is incurable, main treatment is the improvement of life quality of patients.
Nobel Prize laureates Ben Feringa and Frederic Stoddart were present at YSMU . The professors are renowned scientists in the field of chemistry. The Trio, composed of Ben Ferguson, Frederic Stoddart and Jean-Pierre Suwage, won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for their work on the design and synthesis of molecular chains in 2016.
YSMU Vice Rector on Scientific Affairs, Professor Konstantin Yenkoyan, visited a number of Polish research institutes and universities on an official visit.The first visit was to the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology.
Professor of the Department of Biochemistry Konstantin Enkoyan and Assistant Professor Katarineh Fereshetyan participated in the 31st Congress of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology, during which they presented their work on Alzheimer's disease and autism conducted at the Neurology Laboratory of YSMU.
