The World Health Organization recognizes World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year.
The COVID-19 pandemic has created a global crisis for mental health, fueling short- and long-term stresses and undermining the mental health of millions. Estimates put the rise in both anxiety and depressive disorders at more than 25% during the first year of the pandemic.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 450 million people worldwide suffer from mental illness.
The World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) announced the theme for World Mental Health Day 2022, which is “Make mental health for all a global priority”.
