On March 22 and 23, the Cardiology Society of the Career Center and the “Lanzette” international student program of Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi held a two-day joint vascular surgery training.
It is noteworthy that this is the first collaboration between the YSMU Cardiology Society and “Lanzette” program.
The event was addressed by Marlyn George, the President of Cardiology Society, and Tigran Sevyan, Head of “Lanzette”.
Almost 200 people attend both the days, and the event was a great success․
“Lanzette” team performed various techniques of anastomosis on pig’s aorta whilst carefully explaining each step of the process. Eight lucky students among the lot got an opportunity to learn dissection and suturing on spot on animal hearts.
The participants also won certificates by participating in the “intriguing” and fun “mentimeter” sessions on both days.
