The first meeting of this year dedicated to the creation of the new library of the Medical University was with an emphasis on design and engineering solutions.
The discussion was attended by the leadership of YSMU, headed by Rector Armen Muradyan, representatives of the Keron Development Foundation, represented by Vanane Ararktsyan, the Executive Director of the Foundation; and Jef van den Putte and Peter Defesche, the chief architects from Rotterdam; representing the Defesche van den Putte (DVDP) company.
At the next working discussion, foreign specialists presented to their Armenian colleagues the finished design of the concept developed by them, which included the ideas previously voiced and proposed by both construction managers and university students. Not only technical, but also substantive issues were discussed in detail.
Based on their rich work experience, all the necessary conditions for the library were taken into account in the building designed by the architects, from the correct penetration of light to security issues, cooling systems, and then, once ready, organizing the library in accordance with international standards.
In an interactive atmosphere, the participants had the opportunity to ask each other questions and exchange views.
