Young doctors have replenished the medical staff of Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery

Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery continues to make success. In a short period of time, the hospital has made great progress not only in terms of implementing many programs but also with the replenishment of doctors. Head of the department of urology of Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery, professor of the department of urology, doctor of medical sciences, Sergey Fanarjyan mentioned that the medical staff was replenished with young urologists. According to him, besides general urology, the main direction of the department is laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery: “We also deal with oncology, and we involve more surgeries in the process”. Referring to the number of surgeries, Sergey Fanarjyan mentioned that during the year about 300-400 surgeries are performed, of which 1-2% are open surgeries, mainly medical interruptions happen in the form of closed surgery.
“We work as much as possible to lessen the number of open surgeries. Closed surgeries allow the patient to recover early, avoid postoperative complications, hysterectomy, germination of wounds,”-added the head of the urological department. Nairi Melkonyan, an urologist at the Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery, who recently joined the team, said it was nice to work with such an administration. “The hospital which has been healing people for years, can’t limp, it's a pleasure to work with such an administration, to be a full member of this team, which has such mentality and moves with such a slogan”, he said.
According to Nairi Melkonyan, the hospital is equipped with necessary medical equipment and continues to be upgraded daily and such improvements and changes only contribute to the patient’s rapid healing. The urologist, in his turn, mentioned that they perform urinary, prostate surgeries, and the main emphasis is placed on endoscopic, laparoscopic interventions. “Each person applying to the Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery must realize that the team engaged in his health is professional, who would invest their knowledge and experience of years of working to benefit the patient's quick recovery”, young urologist concluded his speech. Let’s remind that every Saturday of February, Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery will hold free consultations and will have a 50-60% discount for all diagnostic services. Besides that, special offers and discounts for different services will be available each month.
