Garo Armen, Founder and Chairman of Children of Armenia Foundation (COAF), Chairman and CEO of Agenus Inc., was the first guest of Heratsi iLAB School of Success.
Greeting him in the university Armen Muradyan, the Rector of YSMU, underlined the fact that School of Success is a platform to introduce world-known doctors to the university students. He mentioned that Garo Armen is not only a successful businessman, but a big philanthropist. Referring to the sphere of cancer, the founder of COAF stated that it changes rapidly. “I started my tour in this sphere 23 years ago.
Cancer shows its own demonstration in every single patient”, mentioned Garo Armen. He compared the struggle of immune system against cancerogenic cells with the fight of an army against the enemy. To the question of one of the students what is your ultimate goal, Garo Armen answered: “My ultimate goal is the ultimate goal of each of you. Armenia has a history of 3-5 thousand years, during this time we were famous in many spheres. We are a nation who is so human, which we can combine with our intellectual capital. Our best investment is in people living in far regions, not in business. There are a lot brilliant, talented people spread all over Armenia”. What concerns to the key of success, Garo Armen doesn’t consider himself happy as he hasn’t reached his ultimate goal.
“My temporary success is connected with the endless belief and never giving up”, underlined Garo Armen. He advised the students to dream and always keep the high standards. At the end of the event Garo Armen promised to come back Armenia soon, very soon.
