Due to YSMU the Indian alumna satiated her heart's desire

Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi gave the Indian alumna Akansha Mishra the chance to satiate her heart's desire.

According to her, YSMU is one of the best universities in the world when it comes to a career in medicine.

“Somewhere in your life, you must have come across a Doctor, a nurse, or anybody who selflessly took care of your health, your soul, and your wounds. This is what a profound profession medicine is”, Akansha says.

The Indian future doctor tells that her parents have always motivated her to pursue her dream career. “And it was at this university where I found some amazing friends and mentors, which I will cherish for life. I am truly grateful for this”, she adds.

Akansha’s advice for junior colleagues is: “It's never enough. Medicine is vast, you will always feel unprepared. Just trust yourself, follow your own study plan. Even if you feel that you're lagging behind, try to learn, understand, and repeat instead of merely drawing a comparison.”

It should be noted that today YSMU has about 2,000 international students 800 of which are of Indian nationality.
