On November 20, the second joint meeting of Armenian and Italian pharmacists was held at the Medical University.
The first meeting took place in October of last year, which became a reality thanks to years of cooperation and joint discussions with colleagues from the University of Camerino.
The University of Camerino (UNICAM) is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic centers in Italy, founded in 1336.
The event was honored with the presence of His Excellency Alessandro Ferranti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia; who was hosted at the Medical University for the first time.
The country he represents, Italy, is a state of culture, beauty, art, and renaissance, but according to him, Italy is also rich in scientists and professionals from various fields.
“This is an example of a clear, pragmatic level of cooperation”, the diplomat noted.
YSMU Vice-Rector for Science Konstantin Yenkoyan stated that the meeting was a way for the Medical University to bridge effective relationships with Italian colleagues in the scientific and educational spheres.
Good traditions have been formed during the nearly 15-year cooperation between the Yerevan State Medical University and the University of Camerino.
The starting topic of the scientific reports was laboratory research.
University specialists discussed a number of professional issues with Italian colleagues, including the development of clinical research in Armenia, its challenges, which is one of the current topics in medical science.
During the event, the participants also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the poster scientific works of the teaching staff of the Departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy and young researchers on various professional topics.
