Professor Souren Mkrtchian’s Inspiring Lecture at YSMU COBRAIN Center

Professor Souren Mkrtchian’s Inspiring Lecture at YSMU COBRAIN Center

On September 23, YSMU COBRAIN Center was delighted to welcome Professor Souren Mkrtchian from Karolinska Institute, Sweden. Professor Mkrtchian gave YSMU students and researchers a unique glimpse into novel methods of biomedical research, covering proteomics, genomics, and metabolomics, and highlighting potential applications of extracellular vesicle transport.

He generously shared his extensive expertise in biomedical research with Armenian colleagues, continuing his mission of educating generations. For YSMU students, the opportunity to meet Prof. Mkrtchian, ask questions directly, and engage in discussions was both memorable and inspiring — a true stimulus to strive for excellence in any career path they will eventually pursue.

The lecture was organized within the framework of the “Translational Study of the Alteration of Neuronal Development and Growth as a Key Pathogenic Mechanism of Autism Spectrum Disorders” (23LCG-3A020) grant project, supported by the Higher Education and Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
