An informative meeting for young researchers about the project MINERVA-Strengthening Research Management and Open Science Capacities of HEIS in Moldova and Armenia” was held at the university.
The Head of the Science and YSMU project coordinator Seyran Kocharyan presented the basic achievements of the MINERVA project and the procedures of the works of the implementation of popularization mechanisms of science in YSMU.
According to him, the main goal of the program is to improve the implementation conditions of the basic principles of comprehensive science in Armenian and Moldovian universities, discuss what open and comprehensive science is, how YSMU is going to take part in this process.
“It’s possible to predict what opportunities we will have after the end of the program and what environment we will provide for future scientists”-added the program coordinator.
The program has set itself the task of developing a national and institutional manuals, strategies and motives in Moldova and Armenia creating digital resources and providing its infrastructural development and interoperability.
“By participating in today’s meeting, you will have the opportunity to exchange information with your research leaders, partners and workgroups “ said the head of the Science addressing the project beneficiaries, stating that the information acquired in such events is not personalized and is intended for wider community “ .
During the meeting, MINERVA project partner, Valencia University professor of Electrical Engineering Chair , Professor Alfredo Rosado presented the basic principles of open science especially outlining its advantages and disadvantages.
The basic principles of EU strategy of the research of human resources present in EURAXESS platform and aspiration of YSMU for receiving a prestige award were also discussed.
It should be noted that in the three-year program YSMU is involved as a partner university.
