On April 12, Sri Lankan students of YSMU officially invited Armen Muradyan, YSMU Rector, Yervand Sahakyan, Vice-Rector for International Activities and External Relations; Gayane Avetisyan, Head of the Department of Education for International Students; Anahit Aznauryan, Deputy Head of the Department of Education for International Students; Rahul Anil Sethi, Head of the Department for International Students' Affairs, Aakash Pannu, President of International Students' Council under Students' Parliament of YSMU, to take part in their annual New Year Celebration of 2023.
The Sri Lankan New Year comes with a long history of traditions and rituals that have been passed down from generation to generation. The celebration is one of the best to experience Sri Lankan culture, activities and games in one of the most extensive ways possible. This year, the Sri Lankan New Year falls on the 14th of April, and the Sri Lankan students of YSMU are eager to celebrate it.
