The Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) Career Development Centre’s Cardiology Society (YCS) marked World Heart Day by organizing its first official meeting of the current academic year.
Held on October 3, the event combined educational content with opportunities for professional exchange, serving as a platform for students who share common interests in cardiology to communicate and collaborate.
The program featured thematic presentations focusing on current developments in modern cardiology, including the use of artificial intelligence, robotics, and regenerative medicine in cardiac care, as well as practical sessions on first aid and resuscitation skills. Special attention was devoted to cardiac amyloidosis, a rare but important condition, covering its recognition and treatment approaches.
An interactive “Facts & Myths” game fostered evidence-based learning and created a dynamic and engaging atmosphere between students and faculty members.
The event concluded with a symbolic opening ceremony, during which participants were introduced to the new executive team of the Cardiology Society, warmly welcomed new members, and wished them an inspiring and fruitful journey ahead.
