The Scientific Council meeting of Yerevan State Medical University was held on October 29. The first issue on the agenda regarding the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Konstantin Chokoraya, an expert on accreditation of educational programs, was presented by YSMU Vice-Rector for Development and Marketing Khachatur Margaryan.
“Our colleague, who is an international expert, has been working with us since 2023, and has made a great contribution to the accreditation process of the “MD Physician” educational program. By the decision of YSMU Rector, Professor Armen Muradyan, gratitude is expressed for his selfless dedication, professionalism and outstanding contribution to the advancement of internationalization work of the Medical University and improving the quality of education,” Khachatur Margaryan noted.
Rector Armen Muradyan added: “We have been working together for about three years, and the successes of the Medical University during these years are outstanding, in particular, our colleague is one of the key implementers of the entire accreditation process. I think the time has long been ripe to express our gratitude to him”.
Konstantin Chokorayan, the recipient of the award, addressed his colleagues in Armenian: “It is a great honor for me to receive a letter of appreciation from Yerevan State Medical University. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Rector Armen Muradyan, Vice-Rectors Larisa Avetisyan and Yervand Sahakyan for their support, professionalism, and kind attitude. It is a great pleasure to work with you, I truly feel like a part of your team. Armenia is a special country for me with its culture and education. Together, we have done a lot for the development of medical education and the accreditation of educational programs”.
6 students from YSMU “Heratsi” High School participated in the final round of the International Applied Biology Olympiad in Denpasar, Indonesia; from June 27 to 30 of this year.
The high school team won 5 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and one student won the main prize of the Olympiad. The team also included a second-year student from YSMU College, who won a bronze medal.
Rector Armen Muradyan congratulated the winning students, and the school director Narine Sargsyan thanked the University for its constant support and encouragement of the international successes of the schoolchildren.
With the approval of the Scientific Council, YSMU has 12 nominal scholarship holders from different faculties this academic year. Solemnly inviting them to the stage, YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan wished them great success in contribution to the international fame of the educational institution.
