YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan  hosts Professor of Neuroscience Allan Kalueff

Professor Allan Kalueff, a member of the international advisory body of the Horizon 2020 Twinning Program, the Cobrain Center for Scientific Research in Basic Brain Research, met with YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan and Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Konstantin Yenkoyan.
During the meeting, issues related to the development of science in our country were touched upon.
As Armen Muradyan mentioned, science is a priority in the medical university. “We do not spare energy, financial resources to put science on a high level, as it is a driving force for us, which helps it to be represented in the international arena,” said the head of the university.
He was able to present scholars in prestigious scientific journals with a high impact factor, without whom it would be impossible to be heard in the world today. Professor Allan Kalueff added that scientists should be given the opportunity to constantly evolve.
As a member of the Horizon 2020 Twinning Program and the International Advisory Board of the YSMU Cobrain Research Center for Basic Brain Research, he emphasized that he was interested in developing a strategy for the development of the center.
“We are discussing joint cooperation programs,” said Allan Kalueff, emphasizing that the support of the YSMU leadership to the Cobrain Center for the development of science is obvious, without which the planned programs could not become a reality.
Accompanied by Konstantin Yenkoyan, Cobrain Project Manager, Allan Kalueff, Professor of Neuroscience, toured the Center for Basic Brain Research and Science, reviewed the work done and the opportunities for researchers.
After visiting the university the professor mentioned that he was impressed by the newly established center with innovative solutions. In the near future, the professor's visits to the university and the cooperation will be continuous.
Noteworthy is the facts that Allan Kalueff is the director of the ZENEREI Research Center, the head of the Laboratory of Neurology and Pharmacology, an honorary professor at the Department of Oceanic University (Guangdong, China), a leading professor at the Ural Federal University (Russia).
