The Medical University has signed a framework agreement on international cooperation with leading French medical institutions: Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and Université Paris-Saclay.
On behalf of Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi, the document was signed by the Rector of the University, Professor Armen Muradyan. The French side was represented by Florence Veber, the Head of International Relations of the AP-HP hospital group; and Agnès Linglart, the Head of the Pediatric educational program at the University of Paris-Saclay, Vice-Dean for International Relations and Europe of the Faculty of Medicine.
The solemn event was also attended by Levon Khachatryan, Cardiovascular Surgeon of the Georges Pompidou Hospital in Paris, Visiting Professor at YSMU; as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of France in Armenia, in particular, Xavier Richard, the Head of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department.
The agreement creates a basis for the development of long-term and systematic cooperation between the parties. Thus, Armenian-French cooperation in the sphere of health care enters a new stage.
The initiative for the development of pediatrics aims to strengthen academic and clinical partnerships, contributing to the exchange of knowledge, improving the quality of education, and introducing international best practices. It aims to strengthen both the theoretical and practical training of pediatricians by creating an educational environment that meets modern standards.
