A memorandum of understanding was signed between Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi and Ken Walker International University.
“I am glad to welcome you to the Medical University from such a representative team from our dear university and city. We last met several years ago, when the “MD Physician” educational program was undergoing international accreditation, although, apart from that, separate university groups had working visits to Georgia,” YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan told, addressing the education officials of the two countries, and appreciating that it was our Georgian friends and brothers who supported the implementation of this important educational process.
The signing of the memorandum was an expected step and, according to the Head of the University, will provide an opportunity to continue effective cooperation at a higher level.
Rector Armen Muradyan particularly emphasized the role of the delegation member, international expert Konstantin Chokoraya, in the international program accreditation work, who was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by YSMU in 2025.
Archil Undilashvili, Director of Educational Programs at Emory University Medical School in the United States, thanked for the hospitality, emphasizing that Georgian colleagues are always happy to visit Armenia. He congratulated the Rector on the international accreditation of the Medical University’s “MD Physician” educational program.
“This is a historical fact for your university. I know that you have worked hard, and invested a lot of effort in this direction, and, of course, no problems arose in this process. I am hopeful that our cooperation will continue in the future for the benefit of our universities,” Archil Undilashvili added.
At the end of the meeting, Archil Undilashvili was awarded the honorary title of a Visiting Professor of the Yerevan State Medical University. The Georgian specialist emphasized in his acceptance speech that it was a great honor to receive such a title.
